ONGOING PROJECTS:

  • Our research team, led by Sam Carter ’24 and Jack Tope ’26, is currently researching students’ attitudes and beliefs about their own writing. Why do so many students believe they are “bad” writers, and how does working with the Writing Center impact those beliefs?
  • We are working on developing new ways of communicating with students digitally through our website, social media and video content.
  • In spring 2024, we will be piloting a new Writing Fellows program, where individual upper-level courses can be paired with one of our staff members who will be devoted to supporting student writing with more in-depth knowledge of the content and assignments.
