Music

Students from any department may participate in music courses and performing ensembles, most of which satisfy Wofford’s fine arts requirements. Wofford’s music program offers an array of performance opportunities in vocal and instrumental groups. Private music lessons also are available. The college offers yearly renewable music scholarships for singers and instrumentalists based on an audition.

Dr. Aaron Harp

Meet Dr. Aaron Harp

Dr. Aaron Harp, assistant professor of music and director of choral and vocal studies, conducts Wofford Singers and Men’s Glee Club. He also teaches voice lessons, vocal diction, music theory and music appreciation. He is a professional soloist and choral singer, specializing in the music of Bach.

Jonathan Mitchell ’25

Meet Jonathan Mitchell ’25

Jonathan Mitchell majored in finance and participated in Wofford Singers, singing tenor for most of his college career. He says, “As a finance major, my work with the music department let me spend time with more artistic educational pursuits while also developing the hard skills of music theory and sight reading.” He plans to become a personal financial advisor.
