Merit-based scholarships in music are available for vocalists and instrumentalists regardless of the student’s program of study. The scholarships range from $500 to $2,500 and are renewable on a yearly basis. Specific audition requirements are outlined below.
Vocal scholarships are available to singers who participate in the choral ensembles at Wofford. Interested students have the option to audition in-person (preferred), virtually over Zoom, or by submitting a video. Students should be prepared to perform two contrasting vocal selections. All string auditions will be virtual. String scholarships are available to instrumentalists who participate in the string ensemble. To submit your virtual audition, please send an email with a link to Dr. Eun-Sun Lee at LeeES@Wofford.edu. Please include in your email a brief (5-7 minute) video and a one-page resume of your musical experience to include: how long played, private instructions, if any; ensemble experience, repertoire overview. The 5-7 minute video should include two contrasting pieces of your choice without accompaniment.
