Getting Started

All interested students should schedule an advising appointment with the Office of International Programs before selecting a program overseas. The advising process is vital to choosing the appropriate program for each student's needs. The staff in the Office of International Programs works with each student individually to identify personal and academic goals for an overseas experience and encourages students to consider all programs that would meet those goals. In addition, it is important that students consult with their major advisors to determine which term abroad best suits their academic plans.

The Office of International Programs is located in the Michael S. Brown Village Center 113 (next to the Reeves Tennis Center) and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To schedule an advising appointment, please click here; an email will be sent to you confirming the appointment once you select an advisor and timeslot. Be certain to keep your class and work schedule in mind to facilitate planning. Please also complete the Advising Questionnaire about which you'll receive an email before meeting with our staff.

COVID-19 Update: The health and safety of our community are important to us. In response to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, our staff is currently offering both virtual (Zoom) and in-person appointments. As such, all students and staff are expected to wear face coverings when visiting the Office of International Programs. To meet with OIP staff, students may be asked to provide a "Negative" Daily Symptom Tracker assessment. In-person advising appointments will respect a minimum of 6 feet of social distance and, as such, available meeting space may be limited. Meeting locations may include a conference room, public lounge area, public workspace, or outdoors. We will notify you of our exact meeting location in advance of the meeting.
