Come to China … without the long flight!

Start planning now to join the 2024 STARTALK Summer Chinese Day Program at Wofford College: An Exchange Experience in Digital China. Students will develop functional Chinese language skills and explore the technology used in the Chinese-speaking world.

STARTALK @ Wofford is offered free of charge to give students access to a language and culture they might not find at their home schools. The program also encourages students to continue with Chinese studies in hopes that they will become global citizens with cross-cultural competence who are prepared to succeed in the 21st century.

While STARTALK @ Wofford is free, students must be passionate, motivated and have demonstrated academic excellence. We will accept 45 rising 6th to graduating 12th graders. Priority is given to students who can attend all program activities: 20 hours of pre-camp game-based asynchronous learning activities in the spring, a two-week intensive day camp (8:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m., June 17-28), and self-paced post-camp language and cultural projects in the fall. Bus transportation will be provided to and from Greenville in the morning and afternoon.
