The Wofford Way Unity Fund Update and Request for Support

The Wofford Way Unity Fund was started in 2021 by several members of the Class of 1969 to provide support to enact recommendations of the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee adopted by the administration and Board of Trustees. View the JEDI/Strategic Vision.

“Almost one year after our 50th class reunion weekend on campus, social unrest and tension erupted nationwide following the death of George Floyd. The aftermath prompted renewed and vigorous debate on race around the country and at Wofford. Faculty writings and student demands reached alumni. …. Perhaps because of our golden reunion, members of our class reacted strongly — if differently — out of love for the college. Some of us decided that we needed to DO something in support of a stronger and more diverse college. The Wofford Way Unity Fund comes out of these discussions and a desire for a conciliatory approach that will benefit our college.”
