Last year the college provided nearly $44 million in scholarships to students; $9 million was funded by Wofford’s endowment or annual philanthropic support, and 95% of our students receive some form of financial aid.
Scholarships make the college more appealing and competitive in attracting high-achieving students. Because many of our students are only able to consider Wofford as a viable option with the help of Wofford-funded academic and need-based scholarships, Wofford offers the best possible financial aid package up front. Unfortunately, the ever-growing total of scholarship funding required to meet our students’ needs is not sustainable.
You can help sustain the financial commitment Wofford College has made to student scholarship support through a gift to the Wofford Fund for Academic Scholarships. Make a gift of any amount to support an ongoing scholarship. With a gift of $1,500 or more to The Wofford Fund: Academic Scholarships, a scholarship will be awarded in your name. *
