History Note: This conference agency is responsible for maintaining the Annual Conference’s relationships with the four Methodist colleges and universities in South Carolina as well as the Wesley Foundations at state colleges and private, non-Methodist institutions. The board emerged from the Conference Board of Education, which was an agency that was responsible for many of the functions later administered by the Conference Council on Ministries. Some records pre-date the creation of the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, but have been placed with this record group because of the similarity of their mission and function.
