History Note: This conference agency is responsible for maintaining the Annual Conference’s camps, particularly the camp at Asbury Hills in Greenville County. Some records pre-date the creation of the Board of Camps and Retreats, and were part of the Board of Education’s Commission on Camps, but have been placed with this record group because of the similarity of their mission and function.

Summary: Records consist of minutes of the Commission on Camp Development, the Camping Committee of the Board of Education, of correspondence, planning, operations, and maintenance materials relating to the Asbury Hills camp, and of records on other camp properties.  

Arrangement: The records are arranged into groups consisting of minutes, planning materials for Asbury Hills, and correspondence related to other camps.
