The health and safety of the Wofford College community continues to be our highest priority. Based on constantly evolving information about the spread of COVID-19 across the country and world, Wofford is accelerating its timeline and will close the college immediately for spring break. There will be no classes between March 16 and April 3. To give students time to make travel arrangements, residence halls will close on Tuesday, March 17 at 5 p.m. Students with extenuating circumstances should complete the special circumstances form. The college is also asking student to complete the voluntary destination reporting form.

Please note that the expectation is still to return for the remainder of the semester, beginning on April 6. College leaders will continue to closely monitor the situation and will communicate any changes in that plan.
There are still no cases of COVID-19 on Wofford’s campus; there are 20 confirmed cases in South Carolina. Wofford’s early closure, however, takes into account the increasing cases of the virus in both Georgia and North Carolina and the recommendation of South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster.
