SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College Terriers will face The Citadel Bulldogs in Gibbs Stadium at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, as the college celebrates Homecoming that weekend. Activities beginning on Friday, Oct. 21, include a number of alumni events as well as the annual downtown street party on Saturday night in Morgan Square.

Here is a schedule of major events during Homecoming Weekend:

Friday, Oct. 21

8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., ticket pick-up, Alumni Office, Papadopoulos Building – Tickets to all events not previously mailed may be picked up at the office or at the first event attended. Additional weekend tickets also may be purchased at this time.

2 p.m., Third Annual Black Alumni Summit, Meadors Multicultural House, Stewart H. Johnson Greek Village – All are invited to attend. Registration begins at 2 p.m., followed by a meet-and-greet with students and alumni as well as a facilitated dialogue and reception with President Nayef Samhat and Prema Samhat. All also are invited to attend the post-game tailgate drop-in on Saturday. Cost is $25 for the Black Alumni Summit and tailgate drop-in. 2 p.m., Chemistry Department Seminar, Roger Milliken Science Center, Room 326 – Featuring Lauren Brown ’11. Brown, currently pursuing her Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Tennessee, where she studies catalyst design and observes the effect advanced catalysts have on polymerizations, will present on “Designing Advanced Catalysts for Ethylene and Lactide Polymerizations. 3:30 p.m., Classes Without Quizzes, various campus locations – Take this opportunity to learn from of Wofford’s talented faculty, staff and alumni, minus the quizzes and tuition. 7-11 p.m., Terrier Ball “Greatest Game on Earth,” Spartanburg Marriott, Heritage Ballroom
– Food, silent auction and live auction, with entertainment by The Root Doctors. Tickets are $85; $50 for young alumni (2011-2016 graduates).

Saturday, Oct. 22

6-10 p.m., Homecoming Street Party, Morgan Square, downtown Spartanburg – Wofford’s largest college-wide party will be held on Morgan Square and will feature drinks and food. Tickets are $10 per person; bring your Wofford ID.

6 p.m., Volleyball vs. Western Carolina, Benjamin Johnson Arena – Celebrate the final season of volleyball inside the Benjamin Johnson Arena and share your memories using #BenJoFarewell. Admission is free.
