Social Media Ambassadors

The Wofford College Social Media Ambassador Program gives students an opportunity to gain professional social media experience while promoting Wofford to prospective students. Our ambassadors are passionate about Wofford, have a variety of academic and other interests and are adept at social media.

Meet our ambassadors below!

Mina Gencoguz

Mina Gencoguz ’26
Majors: Finance and business economics

Mina Gencoguz is a finance and business economics double major from Istanbul, Turkey. After graduation, she wants to live in a city and gain work experience in business, as well as pursue a master’s degree in creative marketing. Her advice to students is to “think outside the box, be innovative, don’t be scared and always take a step. There is so much to explore and so much you can do.” Outside of class, she enjoys golfing, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

Carson Harrell

Carson Harrell ’24
Majors: Biology, chemistry

Carson Harrell comes to Wofford from Columbia, South Carolina. He is a double major in biology and chemistry, and he plans to become a veterinarian. He strives to live by the words of Master Yoda: “Do or do not. There is no try.” He takes this advice by tackling every opportunity with passion and zeal. When he is not studying or promoting Wofford, Harrell enjoys working out and watching movies with friends.

Nate Hopkins

Nate Hopkins ’26
Majors: Biology, Spanish

Nate Hopkins is from Greenville, South Carolina, and plans to attend medical school after college. When he is not running for the Wofford College track and field team, he enjoys reading, playing pickleball, ping pong, running and creating short-form content on Instagram. He loves Wofford “because of its tight-knit community of students, professors and faculty” and “because you get to know lots of people on a very personal level."

Hannah Kelly

Hannah Kelly ’26
Majors: Business economics, Spanish

Hannah Kelly is from Summerville, South Carolina, majoring in business economics and Spanish. She hopes to make a career out of social media and marketing and encourages students to get involved with clubs and organizations on campus. She chose Wofford because “There is no place like Wofford. I came here knowing no one at all but have already formed friendships that will last a lifetime.” When she is not studying, Kelly enjoys playing tennis, guitar and surfing.

Katie Kirk

Katie Kirk ’25
Major: Government

Hailing from Greenville, South Carolina, Katie Kirk is a government major and business minor who plans to attend law school. She has loved her time at Wofford and wants to share with students that “Wofford gives opportunities for you to explore your interests and pushes you to your fullest potential. From current students to alumni to faculty and staff, the community is tight-knit and supports each other in times of need and is also very encouraging. There is something so special about Wofford College and our community.” Kirk is a writer for the student-run newspaper, the Old Gold and Black, as well as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Reformed University Fellowship. She serves on the Judicial Commission and is a mock trial team member. She also enjoys painting, journaling and reading.

Matt Myers

Matt Myers ’27
Major: Government

Matt Myers is from Rock Hill, South Carolina, and plans to major in government and minor in economics. He hopes to work in politics or attend law school after graduation. He enjoys traveling, photography, volunteering, public speaking and telling and hearing people’s stories. He believes that things happen for a reason, and that “whatever is meant to be will find you.”

Macie Rabon

Macie Rabon ’24
Majors: Psychology, religion

Macie Rabon comes to Wofford from Aynor, South Carolina. She has a big personality and a heart for connecting with others. She plans to attend graduate school to obtain a license in marriage and family counseling and certificate in play therapy with the goal to own a therapy office specializing in play therapy for children. Rabon encourages students to “Never forget who you are and where you came from. You’ll never regret being who you truly are and embracing that.” She loves how many coffee shops there are close to campus and enjoys spending time there with her friends. She is a resident assistant as well as a part-time nanny.

Wilson Rose

Wilson Rose ’25
Major: Business economics, Spanish

Wilson Rose comes to Wofford from Charlotte, North Carolina. He plans to take a gap year after graduation to travel the world before attending law school with hopes to one day work at an immigration law firm. Rose became a social media ambassador because he wanted to be a part of displaying the true, authentic and personal aspects of the students, professors and Wofford community. When he isn’t in class, Rose enjoys doing pretty much anything outdoors and spending time with his friends and family.
