Summer Advisors

At Wofford “advising” means teaching students how to navigate and complete their educations. Advisors provide information and offer guidance so that students can choose well for their individual educational goals.

Before Fall Orientation, the Summer Advising Team advises incoming first-year students in creating academic plans and registering for courses. We can offer advice and information you need about

• AP, IB and dual enrollment credit.
• The curriculum of the college, including general education requirements and major coursework.
• First-semester courses students normally take.
• The planning process in preparation for registration: Class Schedule Plans.
• The registration process.

We can also connect you with important resources for support in your transition into the college: Accessibility Services, Athletic Compliance, Financial Aid, Office of International Programs, for example.
