The Walter E. Hudgins Travel Grant and Award Fund

The Walter E. Hudgins Travel Grant and Award Fund was established in 1987 through the estate of Walter E. Hudgins and by his family and friends. Walt was a playwright, humanitarian, raconteur, iconoclast, and professor of Philsophy at Wofford College from 1972 until 1986. He was a great believer in, and encourager of, young people.

Travel grants from this fund are reserved for students in any class at Wofford College and are available for use during any academic session for a Wofford approved study abroad program. Candidates for this grant must make an application to the Wofford Travel Grants Committee. Candidates must present a proposal for an international study experience of exceptional intellectual and creative merit. The Wofford Travel Grants Committee will select the recipient.
