Re: COVID-19 testing requirement prior to Interim

Dear members of the Wofford community,

This is a reminder that Wofford will require all students and employees (both vaccinated and unvaccinated) to submit a negative COVID-19 test prior to returning to campus for the start of classes.

STUDENTS should plan to take the COVID-19 test between Jan. 5 and Jan. 8, 2022. The college will accept a lab test, a rapid test or an at-home test (if the test includes a personal virtual visit with an eMed certificate to prove person, date, time and results of test). Negative test results must be uploaded to the Wellness Center patient portal in myWofford before returning to campus. Students should upload their results by 11 a.m. on Jan. 9.

EMPLOYEES must test and upload their results as well. Testing prior to returning to campus is an option, or testing will be available on campus in the Benjamin Johnson Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. STUDENTS in the Spartanburg area also may take advantage of the testing on campus.

We will begin Interim with the same masking protocols that were in place during the fall semester. Masks are required indoors except in residential spaces.

All unvaccinated students and employees MUST continue weekly testing and submission of results to the Wellness Center’s patient portal.

With the spread of the new Omicron variant, please consider getting your COVID-19 booster shot over the holidays if you haven’t already. If you have gotten the booster or plan to, remember to upload that to the Wellness Center patient portal as well.

Please email Covid@wofford.edu with questions.

Looking forward to seeing you in the new year!
