Students, staff and faculty,

Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing tonight and remain so for much of Tuesday morning. That will lead to icy conditions for many of the county’s roads. The college’s offices will open at noon Tuesday, Jan. 18, and classes will resume in person at that time. In-person classes will not be held Tuesday morning.

Since Interim courses are distinctive and are taught in different ways, faculty will decide individually how best to address lost class time tomorrow. Faculty should contact students in their classes about alternative plans for tomorrow's class meetings.

Faculty teaching afternoon classes are free to make alternative plans regarding those classes as well if they remain concerned about safety. Staff should contact their supervisors if they have difficulty reporting to campus.

Be safe,

Dr. Tim Schmitz
Interim Provost

Roberta Hurley
Dean of Students
