Over the past 10 years, Wofford College has consistently been ranked in the top 10 among the nation's top colleges and universities in the Institute of International Education's nationwide Open Doors survey of undergraduates receiving credit for studying abroad. Keeping with this tradition, Wofford currently ranks fifth in the country among baccalaureate institutions in the percentage of students receiving academic credit for study abroad.

International Programs are a major component of Wofford’s commitment to providing its students with connections with the world. Opportunities range from travel/study Interim projects to a full-year at a university abroad. Students may study on any continent through over 200 programs and 59 countries. They may participate in work and volunteer projects, internships, and directed research. Wofford truly enables students to make the world their university.

"While studying abroad in foreign residence, our students may pursue interests in art, architecture, economics, history, and political science.  At the same time, they can further their desire to become proficient in a foreign language."

- Dr. Ana María Wiseman, Dean of International Programs
