How did you benefit from working with WOC? Wofford on Call not only provided me with an opportunity to earn extra “fun” money (which was my ultimate driver), but I enjoyed the unique opportunity to communicate with Wofford alumni. The common theme while speaking with graduates is that they share the same, yet slightly different, appreciation for Wofford. Learning this broadened perspective and was most significant benefit of WOC. Not only did I value my Wofford on Call experience, but it now influences the way I approach business, relationships, etc. because of the conversations I had with alumni.

Why did you enjoy working for WOC? Not only did I enjoy Wofford on Call thanks to my experience working with alumni, moreover, it was my fellow classmates who made each calling session fun. The Sessional Managers understood the job responsibilities, but at the same time created an exciting work environment which was conducive to the productivity and effectiveness of each calling session.

How do you use the skills you learned at WOC in your current job? Wofford on Call spoke directly to me, as I’ve always gravitated towards sales. I can’t imagine better practice than to make 30-50 warm calls per session to prepare me for cold calling, customer conversations, and relationship building. I think it is important for everyone to develop "people skills" and Wofford on Call creates an environment for just that—regardless of the caller’s career interests.
