Why I Give to Wofford

Sarah Evans, 2006
Director of the Loyalty Fund and Donor Relations

"Wofford College provides an environment for young adults to thrive and become creative, intelligent, ethical leaders. My four year experience was an integral part of my maturation. I developed relationships that will last a lifetime and met my future bridesmaids in Green Hall. By making a gift to Wofford, I hope to enhance the innovative programmatic initiatives and provide the opportunity for future students to have a well-rounded education by becoming a Terrier. Currently, I work in another excellent educational institution, and I understand the value of inspiring young adults. Outside of the basic needs, the most important things we can give today's children and young adults are a good education and solid values. My decision to support Wofford is a trust, supporting this most vital asset. It is a gift that continues to give from generation to generation.  As Wofford alumni become leaders on non-profit boards and in their communities, they continue the legacy of our gifts! The culture of philanthropy that resonates on the Wofford campus continues into the lives of the alumni, enhancing the communities they live in. By making a gift to the annual campaign, I can demonstrate my gratitude for providing me with the tools to become successful professionally, spiritually, emotionally and philanthropically."
