Equestrian Club

The Wofford Equestrian Team competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. The team is open to riders of all abilities and experience levels. Riders pay for their own lessons and riding attire but are not required to provide their own horse or riding equipment. Riders are required to lesson once a week, more if they so choose.

The team competes in an average of eight shows per year at schools primarily in the southeast; other schools that compete in IHSA include Furman University, Converse College, Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, Georgia Southern University, the College of Charleston, and Charleston Southern, among others. Riders are required to attend all shows with the exception of extenuating circumstances. Shows always occur on weekends; some are one-day shows that are conducted on Saturdays, others occur over the span of two days: Saturday and Sunday.
