Wofford Activities Council
The mission of the Wofford Activities Council is to enhance and unify the campus by providing an inclusive environment where all students can take part in various social, recreational, intellectual, and cultural events.
Wofford Activities Council (more commonly referred to as WAC), is the student-led social programming committee of Campus Union. WAC collaborates with various student organizations and offices to host a wide range of events. This student-led organization also partners with the Spartanburg community.
WAC is made up of five subcommittees that are responsible for the planning and collaboration of campus wide activities. These subcommittees include:
Monthidays: Responsible for planning miscellaneous pop-up events each month including, (but not limited to), food trucks, movie nights, and paint nights.
Public Relations (PR): Responsible for all WAC marketing campaigns. PR manages all social media platforms, flyer distributions, posters, and other forms of event marketing.
Service: Responsible for volunteer and/or philanthropic events for WAC.
Special Events: Responsible for planning large social events that are not considered Wofford "traditions." Events include Sliding and Shagging, Pumpkin Fest, Black and Gold, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.
Terrier Traditions: Responsible for planning annual recurring events that have become Wofford "traditions." Events include Homecoming Week, Winter Lighting, and Spring Weekend, etc.
More information regarding this committee will be available at the FYI Interest Fair in the fall. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat @wacevents to stay up-to-date on upcoming events and information.
