Advocate Application

Thank you for being interested in participating in the Wofford College Judicial System. Applicants for the advocate positions must be full-time students (enrolled in 9 or more academic hours each semester) at Wofford College.

Serving as an advocate is an educational way to learn about the student Code, College policies and our conduct process. Students interested in serving as an Advocate, must complete this application. Then they will interview with members of the Judicial Commission. Students chosen to be advocates must sign a confidentiality agreement and participate in a training session before they participate in Administrative Hearing Boards, Judicial Hearing Boards or Appeal Hearing Boards.

Advocates serve the Judicial System in one of two ways.

  1. College Advocates represent “the College” and present the charges, the documentation and or the evidence which has led to the student(s) being charged with allegedly violating the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
  2. Student Advocates assist students and/or organizations that are charged with allegedly violating the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities or College Policies. Advocates assist in protecting the procedural rights of these students and organizations.
