Hunger & Homelessness
Hunger and Homelessness is a problem we face not only in the global community but also in our local community as well, from displaced families in Mississippi to homeless children across the street from Wofford’s campus. Twin Towers hopes to address the immediate needs of our community by assisting non-profit organizations locally and globally. Twin Towers will act as a resource for those who wish to help fight this problem, by providing opportunities to serve both on and off campus. Twin Towers’ main focus in this area will be the Hunger and Homelessness week occurring every year. Through this week, we hope to educate the Wofford community on hunger and homelessness across the globe as a social ill and provide them with opportunities to serve. Habitat For Humanity is one organization in the Upstate that Twin Towers works with to help combat this common problem. In 2007, Wofford was privileged to host the Engaging our World Conference which focused on social justice and provided students from around the southeast with the resources to make a difference globally and locally.
