Class of 1976 welcome back to campus lunch! Alums and guests are welcome to start the weekend off with lunch in Burwell Building. An optional tour of the campus will immediately follow (golf carts available).
Check-In
Time: 2-4 p.m.
Location: Kilgo-Clinkscales Alumni House
Check-in to get all the last-minute details for the weekend. You do not have to stay here the entire time.
Shuttle to Wofford Campus
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: Spartanburg Marriott & AC Marriott
Alums and guests will board shuttle to Wofford for Baccalaureate. Make sure you dress for the rest of the evening because you will not return before the class reunion. Shuttle service is available for all members and guests even if you are not staying at the Marriott. Taking the shuttle is highly encouraged for all members and guests as parking on campus will be very difficult.
Baccalaureate Service
Time: 5 p.m.
Location: Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium
Alums and guests will sit together in a reserved section for the Baccalaureate Service.
Class of 1976 Class Picture & Cocktail Hour
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Harley Room, Richardson Activities Building
Class of 1976 members will pose for a class picture on the front steps and then join their spouses and guests for the cocktail hour.
50th Reunion Dinner and Special Presentation
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Harley Room, Richardson Activities Building
Dinner, program and special presentations. President Nayef Samhat will have remarks and a special presentation for the attending Class of 1976.
* Once the event ends, the shuttle service will be available to take you back to the Spartanburg Marriotts.
Shuttle to Wofford Campus (for Alumni)
Time: 8 a.m.
Location: Spartanburg Marriott & AC Marriott
Members of the Class of 1976 will board the shuttle to Wofford and drop you off at the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Coffee, water, muffins and snacks will be available.
Robing for Class of 9176
Time: 8:20 a.m.
Location: Lobby, Sandor Teszler Library
Members of the Class of 1976 will receive a cap, gown and tassel at this time. We will have staff to assist you. A college marshal will attend to assist the class in the processional.
Shuttle to Wofford Campus (for spouses & guests)
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Spartanburg Marriott & AC Marriott
Spouses and guests will board the shuttle to Wofford to get dropped off in front of the library. A staff member will lead them to their reserved seating area.
Commencement
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Sidewalk of Main Building
A college marshal will announce the Class of 1976 and the Class of 2026. The music will begin, and the Class of 1976 leads the processional. A marshal will show you where to be seated.
At the end of the Commencement ceremony, the platform party will exit, the faculty will follow, and the Class of 1976 will line up behind the faculty. These groups will line up on either side of the sidewalk to form the gauntlet. The students will then pass through with the Class of 1976 being the first to congratulate them and welcome them as alums of Wofford College.
After the last student has passed through the gauntlet, you are finished. Report back to the lobby of the library to return your cap and gown and collect your personal items. Following commencement, guests will also report back to the library to meet alums.
* Once Commencement ends, the shuttle service will be available to take you back to the Marriotts.
