Wofford presentation of ‘Forum’ continues this week

February 7, 2005

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College’s student-produced, student-performed presentation of the Broadway comedic musical “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” will continue this week, with performances at 8 nightly Wednesday, Feb. 9, through Saturday, Feb. 12.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for students. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 597-4080.

The production is the culmination of the January Interim course, taught by Wofford Theatre director and assistant professor Mark A. Ferguson, instructor Jack D. Ballance, and W. Gary McCraw, assistant professor and director of music, and music instructor Christi V. Sellars.

The Interim was designed to give student participants the “intense, hands-on experience of producing a major main-stage show with all of the acting, singing, organizational, public relations and technical work such a production entails.”

Costumes used in the production are those used for the Broadway reprisal of the production, starring Nathan Lane.
