  • Where do we intern?

Participating in an internship is an excellent way to learn more about potential career paths and apply knowledge learned at Wofford in a professional setting. Government majors routinely utilized internship opportunities to gain first-hand experience about how government functions through internships at the federal, state, and local level. Students have also interned abroad with foreign governments, the State Department, and multi-national corporations. The range of internships undertaken by Government majors demonstrates the varied opportunities available for students.

Government majors successfully completing an internship in Washington, DC or with a foreign government may be able to utilize their experience to complete one of the optional major concentrations. Schedule a meeting with the Department Chair – Dr. DeMars – if you are interested in learning more about the optional Government concentrations.
