Dear alumni and friends:
I am honored to serve as your 2021 president of the Wofford College Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. There is no denying that I am beginning my tenure under unusual circumstances, but I am excited for this opportunity to serve you.
After graduating in 2000, I went on to Wake Forest University, receiving a master’s in communication in 2002. I’ve spent my career in the non-profit development sector, first with the American Heart Association and now with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as chief development officer. My husband, Alex, and I have two young children, and we live in Spartanburg.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the tremendous work of my predecessor, Beth Jeter Hrubala ‘93. Beth’s selfless passion for Wofford and tireless commitment to our college is inspiring. I promise to serve you with the same level of faithfulness and hope you will join me in working to strengthen the bond between our alma mater and her alumni.
Among my goals are to:
- Increase attendance at alumni events and class reunions.
- Support the advancement office in its efforts to increase alumni participation.
- Cultivate continued interest in Wofford College among young alumni.
- Support the volunteers serving in our regional alumni clubs.
- Acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors provides the college with insights into alumni sentiment on various issues. Our alumni association is only as strong as the sum of its parts. We are all Terriers, and we stand nearly 15,000 strong. You have a dedicated board of directors who are poised to serve your interests. Let us know what you see, hear and feel about Wofford, and we’ll do our best to represent you.
