Alumni Association Board
The Wofford Alumni Association Board of Directors (AAB) serves as a liaison for alumni and our administration and staff to provide input on alumni activities and chapter programming and to lead alumni in honoring the achievements of fellow alumni and friends of the college. As a reflection of the alumni body, the board provides the college with insights into alumni sentiment on various issues concerning the college. The work of the board is primarily engagement and advisory, not policy-making or governance.
The composition of the AAB typically includes at least one representative from the 50-Year Club, one GOLD representative (see more about the GOLD Ambassador program) and three representatives per 1,000 alumni for each remaining decade. The college also seeks representation that mirrors the geographic distribution of the alumni body. A minimum of 20 and maximum of 25 members shall serve on the AAB at any time. These counts do not include the immediate past president or ex-officio members.
The above are general guidelines. We seek alumni who will bring diverse ideas and perspectives to the AAB in order to best serve the broad and ever-changing needs of the Wofford alumni community.
