Student employment provides Wofford students with the opportunity to earn income while working around their academic and extracurricular schedules.
Once hired for an on-campus position, students will complete their onboarding through Human Resources via Workday. Student employees are considered employees of Wofford and are therefore required to complete all employment eligibility verification and onboarding tasks before beginning work.
New student hires should be prepared to provide acceptable identification documents and complete all required onboarding steps within three (3) days of their hire date.
Wofford participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility (Form I-9). New hires must present either one document from List A or one document from List B and one document from List C to be eligible to work on campus. This verification must be completed within three (3) days of the hire date.
Per federal regulations, copies or photos of documents cannot be accepted. Students must bring original, unexpired documents with them to campus if they plan to work.

Students are paid monthly on the 10th of the month following the month worked. Students are responsible for submitting their hours by the last day of each month to allow time for supervisor approval.
Late submissions may not be processed in time for payroll and will be paid on the following month’s paycheck.
Students must review and acknowledge the student payroll schedule as part of their onboarding tasks. Once acknowledged, the document can be found in the Personal > Documents section of the Workday worker profile.
Note: Incomplete onboarding tasks may delay paycheck processing. It is essential that all onboarding requirements are completed within three (3) days of hire to avoid delays.
