Pre-Health Advising

At Wofford, pre-health is a pathway, not a major. This means students can choose a major that fits their interests, strengths and career goals while completing the courses required for their desired health professional program.

Many health professional programs have specific prerequisite courses that students must complete before applying. Because requirements vary by program, it is important for students to plan ahead and work closely with their academic advisors to make sure they are on track with both their major and prerequisite coursework.

The Office of Academic Advising is here to support students throughout their pre-health journeys.

Pre-Health Prerequisite Guides

The Office of Academic Advising has created prerequisite guides to help students plan their coursework based on their desired pre-health track. Prerequisites vary by program; therefore, these guides are intended as a resource to help students begin planning their coursework and may not include all program requirements. Students should research professional programs early so they may complete the required courses for their prospective programs.
