Wofford College has again been named to Forbes’ list of America’s Top Colleges.
Colleges selected by Forbes for the list are institutions that “produce successful, high-earning and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt,” according to the publication. Its rankings are exclusively based on outcomes for undergraduates.
Wofford was ranked No. 45 by Forbes among institutions of higher education in the South, and it was recognized as the No. 1 private college in South Carolina.
“Our goal is to prepare students not only for academic success, but for extraordinary and positive contributions to a global society,” says Wofford President Nayef Samhat. “The strong outcomes of our students and our alumni speak to the strength and impact of a Wofford education.”
Within six months of graduation, 98% of Wofford graduates report positive career outcomes, which include employment, graduate school, military service, internships and volunteer placement.
Other national publications routinely recognize Wofford for its academic strength and value. The college was named one of The Best 391 Colleges by the Princeton Review on Aug. 12, which also named it as a Best Value College. Wofford has also been honored by the New York Times, U.S. News & World Report and others.
