Message to the Wofford College Community:

We are keeping a close eye on the forecasts for Hurricane Florence, currently expected to make landfall later this week along South Carolina/North Carolina coast. Predictions for the Upstate, including Spartanburg, are that we likely will receive heavy rainfall and high winds.

The exact path of the hurricane is unpredictable at this time, but we will continue to monitor forecasts, and we will make decisions regarding Wofford’s actions based on the best information available from the National Weather Service and local and state emergency preparedness agencies.

We have no plans at this time to cancel classes or close the campus. We will keep the college community informed regarding campus impacts via email and emergency alerts, as necessary.

We remind you to update your Rave Mobile Safety emergency alert account to include your mobile phone number. You may add others’ mobile numbers and emails as well, including parents and spouses.
