Wofford College celebrated Holy Week with several religious observances, including the Good Friday Procession of the Cross on Friday, April 3 at 12:20 p.m. The procession began at the Anna Todd Wofford Center and continued down Campus Drive to end at Player’s Corner. This tradition has been an integral part of Wofford’s Easter traditions for over a decade.

Other religious activities from the past week at Wofford include:

  • Twin Towers held an Easter Egg Hunt in The Village on Friday, March 27 for members of the Spartanburg Boys & Girls Club with snacks and games for the children.
  • The Easter Eggstravaganza, which was a huge community-wide event on Sunday, March 29, included a visit from the Easter Bunny, bounce houses, an egg hunt and more.
  • Hillel, the Jewish student association, held a Passover Seder on Tuesday, March 31 at 6 p.m. in the Michael S. Brown Village Center (Phase V) that was open for all Wofford students to participate in a traditional Jewish Passover Seder, enjoy Jewish desserts and learn about the history of the Passover.
  • A Maundy Thursday Communion was held at 11:15 a.m. on April 2 led by Perkins-Prothro Chaplain and Professor of Religion Ron Robinson. Mickel Chapel also was open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for those who wished walk a Sacred Path, pray or reflect.
