FAQ
Q: What is TAGS You're It?
A: TAGS is a program (which you hopefully heard about during
your four years here) developed to help students understand the importance of
the Annual Giving program to Wofford.
The You’re It! Campaign is specifically targeted at the Class of 2013
and their opportunity to give back to the institution that has given them so
much.
Q: What is the deadline to participate?
A: The You’re It! campaign began February 14th and
ends May 1st but you can make a gift to the Annual Fund at any time
and the gift year coincides with the calendar year – ending on December 31,
2013.
Q: Why should I give?
A: The Wofford Experience is possible because of the generosity
of others. Now it’s your turn to make
future generations of Wofford students privy to the same opportunities you had. You’re It!
Q: Where does my gift go?
A: All gifts for TAGS You’re It! go to Wofford’s Annual
Fund. You select which designation you want
your gift to go toward: Unrestricted Annual Fund, Terrier Club or Friends of
the Library.
Q: How much should I give?
A: There is no minimum or maximum amount -- any gift to
Wofford’s Annual Fund is needed and appreciated. You may want to consider a leadership level
gift of $100 or more. Or maybe a gift of
$20.13 in honor of your graduation year works better for you. Your participation matters more than the
amount.
Q: What is Wofford's Annual Fund?
A: Wofford’s Annual Fund supports the operating budget of the
college. Since the Annual Fund carries great
weight for the daily life of the college, contributions of every size are
greatly appreciated and make a difference.
Wofford’s Annual Fund has
three designations:
1). Unrestricted Annual Fund:
The College uses the Unrestricted Annual Fund multiple ways, from basic
operational costs such as electricity to the recruitment of top notch faculty
and everything in between. Unrestricted
gifts allow Wofford the flexibility to respond to its most urgent needs.
2). Terrier Club: Gifts to
the Terrier Club are used exclusively to fund scholarships for student
athletes.
3). Friends of the Library.
Gifts designated to Friends of the Library provide much needed funds for
books and exhibits as well as special collections that enrich the academic and
cultural environment of the Wofford community.
