Funding Specialist

The Funding Specialist is responsible for typing deals into the Loan Maintenance System, reviewing, editing, calculating figures, creating accounts, verifying information, expediting deals, and using judgment to solve problems.

 Enter all deals into the Loan Maintenance System

  • Calculate figures that deal with the amount financed on a vehicle and the finance charge to make sure that the financial info on the contracts are correct
  • Electronically index files appropriately in the document storage system
  • Review the disclosure, auto check, verified insurance, contract, amendment, presale disclosure due date change (if there is one) for accuracy and completeness
  • Fund the file with correct dealer profit checks, ACH, and any warranties included
  • Filing check paperwork in monthly dealer folders
  • Verify title paperwork is filled out correctly through the title clerks
  • Answer consumer disputes through the phone
  • Meet expectations to dealer needs
  • Other various tasks as assigned


  • Must be able to type at least 25 words per minute and 5000 ten-key strokes per hour
  • Knowledge of standard business forms.
  • Ability to exercise judgment to solve operational problems.
  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff members, subordinates and administrators.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Marketing Associate

Our Marketing Department is an award-winning, hands-on crew that creatively communicates all we have to offer our clients and their customers. Selected candidates will be cross-trained in each aspect of the business. Which means this position will grow into an upper-level managerial role.


As a Marketing Associate, a typical day might include some of the following:

  • Communicating closely with clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client account
  • Devising an integrated marketing campaign strategy and timeline; execute the necessary marketing mix throughout the event cycle
  • Initiate and maintaining marketing plans, task tracking, creative directives and editing requests • Creating and managing marketing toolkits for each client
  • Track and analyze statistics; constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve our business
  • Preparing post-campaign recap analysis

Requirements/Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • 1-2 years experience in customer service, sales and / or marketing
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, deadline drive environment
  • Comfortable in speaking in large groups / strong presentation skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with others and foster a positive company and brand image
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership ability is a plus
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication (written and verbal

ROUND of 64  - Resume/Cover Letter Sumbittal (Tourny limited to first 64)

ROUND OF 32 - Cover Letter  (Announced March 5)

The Space staff will review the Round of 64 resumes and select the Round of 32, which will be announced Monday, March 5, 2017. Students who have made it to the Round of 32 will have their cover letters reviewed by the Wofford Library Staff who will then select the “Sweet 16”.

SWEET 16 - LinkedIn  (Announced March 9)

Students making it through to the Sweet 16 will need to create and submit a LinkedIn profile that will be reviewed and judged by local employers and/or faculty.  If you have a current profile please make sure that it is updated and complete.  Local employers will review and judge the Sweet 16 and narrow them to the Elite 8.

ELITE 8 - Video Interview  (Announced March 16)

Those making it to the Elite 8 will record a video interview of themselves answering five interview questions.  Questions will be emailed to the Elite 8 winners.  The video will be submitted to The Space and reviewed by local employers and/or faculty.  These submissions will then be narrowed to the FINAL 4.

FINAL 4 -  Interview with President Samhat  (Announced March 23)

The FINAL 4 will have the opportunity to have a mock job interview with the president of Wofford, Nayef Samhat.  President Samhat will then choose our Final 4 grand champion, who will be announced Thursday, March 29, 2017.
