Banner Web for Students, Faculty, and Alumni
|
Banner Web is the self-service web interface to Banner for students, faculty, and alumni. It is accessible through myWofford. A user ID and password are required to enter the secure area of myWofford. Students, faculty, and staff members who have lost their User ID or PIN should contact the Help Center (4357).
Students also must obtain an Advising PIN from their academic advisor prior to pre-registration each semester. Students should remember their Advising PIN, which changes each semester, in case they need to add or drop a course before the next semester begins. Students who lose their Advising PIN should see their advisor.
Banner Web instructional lessons are available for students and faculty.

Banner for Office Staff Members

Office staff members must receive navigation training and sign a Confidentiality Agreement before they are given access to Banner. Arrange the training with Bryan Blackwell (4272), who also will help first-time users set up their computers to use Banner.
We encourage end users from administrative offices to use Banner standard reports or Microsoft Access to create reports from Banner. Jason Burr (4271) will help you learn to create reports using Access.

I have lost my Banner User ID or PIN. What can I do? Call the Help Desk (4357)
Should students and advisors save their Advising PIN(s) after the web registration period? Yes. Students may need the advising PIN to add or drop courses before the next semester. The Advising PINs remain the same until the next web registration period, when new Advising PINs are issued.
How can an advisor using Banner Web see the number of seats remaining in courses ?
An advisor can see the number of seats remaining in a course by clicking on the course name in the Banner Web Class Schedule. Instructions are available in the Banner Web for Faculty and Advisors lesson.
Can a faculty member override registration restrictions on his or her classes?
Yes. A faculty member can override registration restrictions for capacity, permission of the instructor, prerequisites, and time. Instructions for overriding restrictions are available in the Banner Web for Faculty and Advisors lesson.
