How have you benefited from working with WOC? Working as a student caller, and then eventually a supervisor, really helped boost my confidence as a leader. I quickly learned how to overcome my shyness and awkwardness with strangers and learned how to break the ice and connect with people.

Why did you enjoy working for WOC? The games and contests and energy of the team made it one of the best on-campus jobs to be a part of. And on top of that, I loved being able to connect with people who loved Wofford as much as I did.

How do you use the skills you learned at WOC in your current job? Connecting with people is one of the most important skills I have carried over to my current job. At WOC we didn't just call people, our goal was to really connect with them and create a sort of bond with whoever we spoke to based on our mutual love for Wofford. When I meet with designers and clients this skill is especially important, as the fashion industry is all about networking and knowing people. Connecting with people and creating a special relationship has helped me create invaluable connections and friends.
