McKenzie Perry won the Carnegie Medal, awarded to civilians who risk their lives to an extraordinary degree saving or attempting to save the lives of others. She was also awarded the Certificate of Merit, the highest national honor given by the Red Cross. |

Elise Boos was awarded a Rotary Scholarship to Makerere University in Kampala. She will be affiliated with the graduate program in Women and Gender Studies, focusing on women and HIV. |
