Literacy & Education

Globally, an organization called Better World Books collects and distributes books to libraries and individuals across the world. In an effort to aid them in their task, a campus-wide book drive will be conducted to collect used textbooks, which will then be shipped to Africa to build libraries. We plan to use Better World Books again this year as our agency. We also plan to set up bins around the Spartanburg community to collect children's books that could be distributed to local elementary schools. Work is being done on establishing a reading program with a local elementary school that could be continued for years to come, a program that would let students of various organizations participate.
