CAREER HIGHIGHTS
Previously, Plumb served as consular officer in the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, and as assistant public affairs officer and political officer in the U.S. Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Before joining the diplomatic corps, Plumb worked for the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA). In 2000, as a David L. Boren National Security Education Fellow, Plumb researched grassroots peace-building initiatives in East Africa. She is the co-author of a book chapter in Ending Civil Wars: The Implementation of Peace Agreements (ed. Stedman, Rothchild and Cousens, 2002).
