Senior Circuit: Natalie Erdman

Growing up in Charlotte, N.C., Natalie Erdman had always heard good things about Wofford from older friends.

nat200“When I visited campus during my junior year of high school, I instantly knew that Wofford was the right place,” she says. “I could see myself being happy and having fun here.”

And studying. Erdman has served as a member of WAC and is on the Wofford Honor Council. She’s also a member of Beta Beta Beta, the biology fraternity, as well as Kappa Delta sorority, where she served as secretary. Last spring she traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark to study the Danish health care system.

A biology major since Day One, she says she fears she will be taking lab sciences until graduation day. But she knows in the end it will be worth it.

“Biology has been a huge commitment, but I feel fully prepared for my future in medicine,” says Erdman. “Next fall I plan to begin nursing school in hopes of one day working in oncology or as a nurse anesthetist. Wofford has allowed me the opportunity to participate in research as well as study health care systems in other parts of the world. Because of these opportunities, I feel certain that nursing is the right career for me.”

While Wofford has helped her define her future, it has also redefined what it means to live in the precious present.

“Wofford has provided more laughter and more fun nights than I could have ever imagined,” she says. “I will cherish afternoons spent relaxing with friends and nights spent dancing at the Row. I have made memories and dear friends that will last a lifetime.”
