Author George Singleton is leaving the Governor’s School for the Arts, where he’s been a teacher for 13 years.
In the fall, Singleton moves to Wofford College, where he’ll hold the John C. Cobb Endowed Chair in the Humanities.
His latest collection of short stories, Stray Decorum, was recently named a finalist for the Southeastern Independent Book Association’s Book of the Year/Fiction. The winner will be announced July 4.
An earlier collection, “Why Dogs Chase Cars,” is newly available in an expanded edition, featuring a new story and a novella that weren’t in the original.
