Guitar, percussion duo performs tonight at 7

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – David Stevenson and River Guerguerian, a guitar and percussion duo from North Carolina, will perform at 7 tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 27) in Leonard Auditorium in Main Building at Wofford College. The performance is part of the Troubadour Series of concerts. 

  The program is free and open to the public.

North Carolina native David Stevenson began serious study of the guitar at age 21 and earned his master’s degree in classical guitar from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a member of the performing arts faculty at Clemson University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Percussionist River Guerguerian, a native of Montreal, Canada, attended the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory. He has performed for more than 20 years with such groups as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Tan Dun, Chuck Berry, Ziggy Marley, Gypsy Kings and Omar Faruck Tekbilek. He lives in Asheville.
