Sponsors provide Wofford football tickets to Spartanburg youth

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College has teamed up with various Spartanburg organizations and agencies to provide tickets and T-shirts to over 500 area youth and chaperones to Saturday’s quarterfinal game of the NCAA FCS playoffs between the Wofford Terriers and the Richmond Spiders.

Recipients of the tickets and T-shirts will be able to attend the game as part of the “Tickets and Tees for Kids Program” sponsored by Wofford College, the City of Spartanburg, Ben Wofford Books, and donations from Wofford alumni.

The purchased tickets will be provided by the sponsors to area youth served by the following organizations: Boys and Girls Clubs of the Upstate, CC Woodson Recreation Center, Consuming Fire Ministries, Fosters Grove Baptist Church, Northwest Recreation Center, Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the City of Spartanburg, and the Spartanburg Terrace Tenants Association.

The Terriers take on the Richmond Spiders at 7 p.m. Saturday in Gibbs Stadium. Tickets are still available for purchase through the Wofford College ticket office at 864-597-4090.
