Wofford ‘Engaging Our World’ with social justice conference

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College will host “Engaging Our World,” a social justice conference for the Southeast Oct. 12 through 14.

The weekend programs will address a variety of social justice issues, including poverty, homelessness, diversity and fair trade.

 “At the conference, college students will be empowered, enlightened and engaged by speakers from national non-profit organizations, such as Oxfam, Bread for the World, United Students for Fair Trade, and by our keynote speaker, Gillian Sorensen, senior adviser at the United Nations Foundation,” says Regina Fuller '10, one of the Wofford students planning and organizing the conference.
