SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College’s use of the Ektron brand content management system is featured in the current issue (June 2007) of Campus Technology magazine, both in print and on the publication’s Web site.
The article, which also features Northwestern University and the University of Virginia, highlights elements the staff of Wofford’s Office of Communications and Marketing deemed important in selecting a content management system. Such a system allows for “enabling information access, sharing, collaboration, and tracking on a scale heretofore unimaginable,” the magazine says.
Webmaster Kyle James points out in the article that the content management system allows for literally hundreds of editors for updating and adding to the college’s Web site, leaving room for more “innovation.”
The magazine notes: “Innovation, in this case, has led to an award: The Wofford Office of Communications and Marketing was recognized earlier this year by the Council of Advancement and Support of Education for excellence in overall website design.”
