Wofford College Spring Concert set for Saturday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College Music Department’s annual Spring Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in Leonard Auditorium in Main Building. The program is free and open to the public.

This year’s event will include repertoire from “Mozart to McCartney.”

The Concert Band will begin the performance with Mozart’s Overture from “The Marriage of Figaro” as a prelude. Featured in the concert will be the Men’s Glee Club, singing a tribute medley to John Lennon and Paul McCartney; Women’s Choir, singing “Seasons of Love” from the smash Broadway musical “Rent;” Wofford Singers with Mozart’s “Regina Coeli;” Goldtones; and the United Voices of Victory.

The program is under the direction of Gary McCraw, assistant professor and director of music.
