SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Department of Psychology and the Department of Accounting and Finance at Wofford College have been awarded a $60,000 academic grant for software to help in conducting live surveys for student research using the Internet.
The grant is provided by WebSurveyor Corp., which is encouraging colleges and universities around the country to incorporate the use of online surveys into their courses and research.
Dr. John Lefebvre, chair of the department and initiator of the grant application, and his colleagues are developing tutorials and classes for the use of the technology on campus. “This will be very valuable in providing our students with a real-world research capability,” he says. “The WebSurveyor tool enhances our undergraduate research opportunities and should prove useful to our faculty and students.”
