Violin-piano recital today (Feb. 10) features Lee, Parrini

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A violin-piano recital featuring Dr. Eun-Sun Lee, associate professor of music and director of the Wofford Chamber Players, and Fabio Parrini, professor of piano at North Greenville University, will be held at 4 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 10) in McMillan Theater in the Raines Center.

The program will feature Handel Sonata #4 in D, Zwilich Romance and Prokofieff Sonata Op. 94a in D.

Lee has performed solo and chamber music recitals throughout the United States, including in New York City for the Beethoven Society, the Metropolitan Museum, Carnegie Hall, Kaufman Concert Hall at the 92nd Street Y, and the Lincoln Center, and at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. She has received numerous individual awards, and in 2004 she was selected as one of the founding artist members on SouthernArtistry.org.

Farrini, a graduate of the Conservatory of Padua and winner of the national competitions in Galatina, Osima and Cagliari, is professor of music and piano coordinator at North Greenville. He has taught master classes across the country, has collaborated with many nationally recognized conductors and soloists. He has performed for the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Hampden-Sydney Chamber Music Festival and Opera New England.

Today’s program is funded in part by the Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, its donors, the County and City of Spartanburg, and the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment of the Arts and the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of S.C.

Lee will be in recital in New York City on Feb. 16.
