SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Dr. Larry T. McGehee, Wofford College professor of religion emeritus, will appear at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, on C-SPAN providing readings from his book, “Southern Seen.” The program will air on Channel 96 on local Charter Cable.

The readings were videotaped at the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville, Tenn., last October. Appearing with McGehee will be Jim Cobb, a professor at the University of Georgia, who will read from his book on Southern culture.

McGehee’s book, “Southern Seen: Meditations on Past and Present,” is a collection of his “Southern Seen” newspaper columns about people, places and events in the South published by The University of Tennessee Press. His columns appear in 100 newspapers in eight states.
